This was a really good tour.
Felipe and Josep from Barcelona undertook in a tour to Hluhluwe game reserve and St Lucia for two days.
It was all go go go as we spent all day on the road getting to the reserve then searching for animals. We were lucky to see 7 Hyenas and on the second day got audio of a Lioness calling her cubs and one Hyena eating a giraffes leg which was stolen from the lions.
Otherwise we found some elephants, Rhinos, Buffalo, Zebra, Wildebeest, Nyala, Hippo, Crocodiles, Baboons, Vervet Monkeys, Impala, Red Duiker and the list goes on.
Awesome bird sighting of a Gorgeous Bush Shrike in a Sickle bush next to the road which I battled to get a good photo of but still in full song. The food was great in camp and the star gazing even better!
St Lucia was fantastic as usual with a sighting of a Fish Eagle feeding on the rivers edge in the mangroves, Giant Kingfisher diving into the water, Pod of Hippos laying on the rivers edge and best of all a crocodile swimming toward a small water bird and catching it in one snap!
Super cool trip.
Anyway meetings tomorrow so best be sorting out my papers.
