What a crazy day in the bush!
I picked up my clients from Durban and we set off.
By the time we reached Hluhluwe it was hot (really hot 36 degrees) but we still had luck with a couple herds of Buffalo, Zebra, Impala, Giraffe etc
After stopping for a solid lunch at Hilltop camp we headed back out and I was glad that my thoughts as to where to drive paid off as we spotted Giraffe, Rhino and Elephant all within meters of the road.
We all enjoyed the sighting and I waited on for the Rhino to come and drink and the Bull elephant to cross the road, which the bot did.
Thinking that was it for the day we exited the park and “bang” a massive herd of Elephant were crossing the road in front of us and right in front of the sign which says: “Wild animals Crossing with a picture of Elephant”.
This really capped the day off and we continued to Durban.
It was really nice to meet Sarah who brought her friends out from England as she had spent time in the UK working a Nurse and was very happy to show off her wonderful country to them.
We also had a client from Austria who had done a Tala game reserve Tour the day before and really could see the difference.
I look forward to the newspaper article by Pat when she gets back to England.
