Tala game reserve and Phezulu Safari Tour 9/11/13

Well the rain held off for this Durban day Safari tour thank God!

I met my clients in Durban and we departed away from the rain to Tala private game reserve. Upon entering we found the Rhinos, Zebra, Wildebeest, impala, Nyala, Giraffe, and even a Blue Crane – South Africas National Bird.

It was a great tour around Tala game reserve.

When we left 3 hours later we drove through the valley of 1000 hills and stopped at the Jesus statue in Inchanga. I still cannot find any information on when it was put there or why but it is amazing. It reminds me of Rio.

We then stopped at Phezulu for the Zulu Cultural experience, lunch and the reptile park. This was great and the dancing was great.

Over all a great Durban day Safari Tour.

Tala Game reserve and Phezulu cultural Safari Tour 18th October 2013

After collecting my clients from a Durban hotel we headed out to Tala game reserve a little concerned of the rain we had over the past few days. Once we arrived the weather wasnt to bad rain now and then but not really effecting game viewing accept the Rhinos.

We were really lucky and saw a Black Backed Jackal which was very lucky.

We finally found a giraffe but other than that it was the usual suspects : Zebra, Wildebeest, Warthog, Blessbok and Ostrich.

After having our fill on the Durban day Safari Tour side we departed for Phezulu safari Park for a Zulu cultural experience and Tour around the Reptile park.

First though it was lunch and we stopped overlooking the valley of 1000 hills where we had a good view considering the weather.

After Lunch it was time for the Reptile park tour before the Zulu Dancing. My clients were happy to hold a brown house snake which was great!

Then it was the Zulu Dancing(Culture) and entering the Zulu cooking hut and meeting hut aswell as tasting the Traditional Zulu beer Umqomboti.

A Great Durban Day Safari Tour then back to Durban City.

After collecting my clients who were out for a Malaria conference we headed up to Tala Game Reserve where we had immediate luck as two of the Rhinos where right next to the road. We managed to find another 5 Rhinos as well as a Journey of Giraffe, Herds of Zebra, Wildebeest, Impala, Ostrich, Warthog, Blessbok and loads of other animals.

It was a quick spin taking 3 hours and we then headed down to the Valley of 1000 hills, Phezulu Safari park(on top of the hill) for lunch. After some Crocodile Samoosas and a meal we headed do to the Zulu Cultural Village of the Gaza Family for the Zulu cultural experience who have been there for years. This was great to enter the hut and for the clients to learn and experience the culture of the Zulu.

We watched some Zulu Dancing before heading back to the Crocodile center where we enjoyed the crocodiles and snakes before we departed for Durban City.

It was a great Durban day Safari and cultural Tour with beautiful weather.
