Hluhluwe Umfolozi Day Safari Tour 10 September 2013

Durban Day Safari Tour to Hluhluwe Umfolozi game reserve

After meeting my clients in Durban City for there Big 5 Safari Tour from Durban. We headed up to Hluhluwe Umfolozi game reserve Africas Oldest Game reserve and home to the Big 5. Once the History was out the was we entered the Hluhluwe game reserve and had some great luck. This time of the year really makes my job easy with all the short shoots of grass and beautiful Weeping Boerbean Tree in Flower!

We saw really everything except cats which is normal not to see on a quick day tour. Everything from Crocodile, monitor Lizards, Zebra Giraffe  to the Elephant with tiny babies, Rhinos and Buffalos. It was a great day for a Big 5 Bush Tours and we made the most of our Durban Safari Tour.

Lunch was at Hilltop camp in  Hluhluwe.

One of our best sighting was a big bull Elephant deciding he wanted to cross the road near to us. Having already switched off the engine it was wise to let him do his thing and he just wandered close to us but ignoring us as they normally do (if they are not in musth) and just kept walking.

The day was a perfect day for a Safari Tour from Durban moderate weather and great sighting of some of the big 5.
