Sani Pass Safari Tour 25.10.12 - Tim Brown Tours

It was another well timed day as we hit a little rain departing Durban City but it cleared for us to get to the top of the pass into Lesotho which was amazing. We were greeted by the sounds of the locals clearly trying to make some money but its was lovely.

The Drive up the pass was very bumpy as usual but great views and lovely Watsonia in flower all over the place.

When we got through the boarder posts we first decided to stop for some lunch and I had an awesome chicken burger. I also say two Ice rats as they are know in the veld.

Later we went on to a traditional village where we all had some warm Basotho break freshly steamed and very nice.

We also did a spot of shopping for “Maluti” – local currency and blankets.

We left Lesotho very late but it was worth it, we all had a great time and the mist blew in and at the bottom in Underberg the rain came down in buckets.

We still managed to make it back to Durban Umhlanga by about 18:30 which was good going.

A Great Day.
