Hluhluwe Umfolozi Day Safari Tour 25 May 2013

Hluhluwe Umfolozi Day Safari Tour 25 May 2013

After Leaving my home 45 min North west of Durban city at 6am and arriving 4 hours later at Zulu Nyala game lodge where I collected my clients I was treated to a surprise of a Female cheetah and about a year old cub as I drove in! I was so stoked with my luck….

I then met my clients at the lodge and we drove off to Hluhluwe umfolozi game reserve for the day.

My clients had already seen everything at Zulu Nyala so I was thinking there might not be much they hadnt heard aswell from the guides however I was surprised that most of what I seemed to be saying they hadnt heard at all.

This turned out to be a great day as we got some brilliant sightings of Elephant mud wallowing  on the road aswell as feeding along the banks of the Umfolozi river.

Buffalo in the river, Crocodile, Rhino on the hills, Zebra, Giraffe and much more.

After lunch was the best time for us with the Elephants as sightings got really good. Sadly no cats but I had seen the Cheetah so I was very happy with that.

On the way back to Durban I did all my talking on the history of the area and the people. Of Course this tour was run backwards as I had collected my clients near to the reserve.

What a pleasant day in the reserve.
