Battlefields Tour – Isandlwana and Rorkes Drift, KwaZulu Natal, South Africa.
It was a late pick up and a 4 hour drive to the battlefields from Ballito.
We checked into Battlefield country lodge set very close to the battlefields of Isandlwana and Rorkes Drift two of the bloodiest battles fort between the British and the Zulu’s on the 22 January 1879.
After a very heart warming dinner around a fire place we all headed to bed for the early start to our tour with Mike Nel the following day.
After a spot of breakfast and a cup of coffee we met with Mike and he guided us to Isandlwana where the Zulu Nation riped apart the British in a massively savage manner. Disemboweling them by inserting there Assagai’s into there rectums and cutting them up to there throats. They would also reach for the Gaul bladder and squeese out its juices into there mouths and lick the blood from there Assagai’s.
From Isandlwana we headed to Rorkes Drift where the British managed to hold off an onslaught from the Zulus and Win this particular battle.
It was a great day and very interesting, Mike helped bring the Battlefields alive to my clients and we all enjoyed the passion he showed for his work.
Returning to Ballito we arrived late and tired but happy that we had experienced something new…
