I collected my clients for there Safari Tour of Hluhluwe umfolozi later than usual from the Durban Surrounding area.
We headed up to the reserve chatting about the history of the area aswell as each population group and how they came to exist here in South Africa, Kwa-Zulu Natal and Durban.
On arrival I had word of Lions on a Kill, by the time we got there the kill was rank and the lions had vanished into the long grass. Sadly for us we continued but found a big elephant Bull, Impala, Warthog, Rhino, Zebra, Buffalo and Nyala.
We stopped for some lunch at Hilltop camp where we ate quickly and got back out to find more great animals. Our sightings got closer and better as we had Elephants crossing the road in front of us as well as Rhinos…
We left a little later than usual to maximize time and of course we were also blocked by Elephants crossing which really was a blessing more than a problem. lol.
On departure everyone was happy as to how the day went and that the rain held off. It was a long drive back but after a great day it never matters!
