Hluhluwe Umfolozi game reserve and St Lucia wetlands Safari Tour 22-23 November 2012

I collected my clients from the beautiful Oyster Box hotel in Umhlanga (Durban) we departed for Hluhluwe where there weather was concerning but all turned out very well.

This was one of those Tours where the cats quite litteraly run circles around you. In the 2 days we had 4 sets of Lion tracks which were from the night before of fresh ontop of vehicle tracks but alas they eluded us as they hid in the long grass far from the roads!!!

Apart from all this we had great sightings of Elephants swimming in the Hluhluwe river, Rhinos close, a bull elephant in Musth but super relaxed aswell as buffalo, Giraffe, Zebra etc.

Great birdlife as well as two crocodiles and Hippos of course at St Lucia estuary boat cruise.

Great dinner was to be had that night at Hilltop camp where we spent the night and it was up early to see what we could find.

When we departed Hluhluwe umfolozi game reseverve we headed to St Lucia estuary where we had a 2 hour boat cruise on the lake and had great sighting of Hippos.

Later that day were sadly needed to depart for Durban as my clients we involved in a conference in the city.

The Tour was enjoyed by us all and im glad it could bring some relaxation to my clients before the conference.
