We have had some great success on our recent African safaris from Durban over the past couple of months. These sightings range from animals on the road crossing in front of our vehicle, Elephants sleeping, Cheetah hunting, Wild Dogs hunting on the road, Leopard sleeping, Black Rhino browsing, Wildebeest drinking, Lion drinking and happy clients on safari!

We are blessed with good weather in Durban and it only get warmer on route to Hluhluwe game reserve. It was here that we entered and began our safari looking for as many of the Big 5 as possible.

Our Tala half day tour from Durban began in the city of Umhlanga. Once we heading off we got chatting about the history of Durban, KwaZulu Natal and South Africa before we arrived at Tala game reserve.
The history is the build up to a great Durban tour and it is always interesting to answer questions on my beautiful country considering how much has happened here and what we have managed to come through.

We began our Hluhluwe day safari bright and early as you would when going on an African safari tour! It was a lovely day as it had rained the night before so it was a little cooler today so we could enjoy the safari away from the extreme summer heat!
On route to the Hluhluwe Imfolozi game reserve I covered some of the interesting history of Durban, KwaZulu Natal and South Africa as well as the population groups and how they came to be here. It also ended up with some politics which you really should never discuss with your clients but if they are happy with hearing your opinion then it is fine.
