Hluhluwe Umfolozi 3 Day Safari Tour 2 to 4 September 2013

Hluhluwe Umfolozi game reserve 3 day Durban Safari Tour 2-4 September 2013

Another Great Big 5 Safari Tour from Durban.

I collected my clients from two different areas and we then headed up to the Cat rehab centre to interact with cheetah and other endangered species of cat.

Then we headed into Hluhluwe Umfolozi game reserve taking the direct route to get to lunch. We still saw 3 of the Big 5 in that hour and a half.

Lunch was needed and great.

We checked in at Hilltop camp and headed back out time gate closure at 6pm. We had great sighting and the best for me was spotting a Lioness at dusk out the corner of my right eye 50 meters off the road. We were so luck as the quickly moved off into the thicket.

We had already seen Buffalo and loads of Rhino, Zebra and Giraffe.

Dinner was great and we ate like kings.

Day 2: Durban 3 Day Safari Tour to Hluhluwe umfolozi game reserve (Big 5 Safari)

The next day we headed out for a 7 hour game drive to try see what we could find down south in Umfolozi it was pretty Lousy actually. But we did see a few things but sadly no more cats to add to the collection.

We stopped at the centenary centre for lunch and to look at the museum which was great.

Then we headed back to camp after our Durban Safari Tour.

Open vehicle game drive was in the evening and the guests were lucky to add more lions to the list.

Day 3: Durban 3 Day Safari Tour to Hluhluwe umfolozi game reserve (Big 5 Safari)

The next day we had a nice breakfast with a view and then headed out for a few hours to see what we could find. There was loads out and about and then it was time to go to St Lucia or Isimangeliso Wetland park for the st lucia boat cruise.

We saw loads of Hippos and crocodiles aswell as Birdlife.

Lunch in the small town of st lucia and then back to Durban.
